11月8日，溪湖区人民政府发布情况通报：11月7日14时07分许，本溪市盛安建筑工程有限公司，在对原溪湖区河东街道办事处记录纸厂(已停产)一处未使用楼体进行修缮加固过程中，发生坍塌事故，共造成3名施工人员被困。经全力搜救，截至11月8日2时40分，搜救出全部3人，立即送往医院救治，经全力抢救无效死亡。目前，各项处置、调查工作正在进行中。
